Digital TENS Unit
The InTENSity 10 Digital TENS Unit is one of the most popular stimulating units in the InTENSity premium digital device family. This device comes equipped with 10 pre-set, clinically-tested, pain-relieving TENS treatment programs, organized by different body parts, making it one of the easiest, and most effective, TENS devices available on the market today. With the press of 2 buttons, the device is ready to operate effectively based on the area of the body being treated, with a customized treatment program based on clinical research protocols. An AC power adapter, and removable belt clip, also come with the device for effective therapy on the go.
Explanation of TENS:
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, or TENS, is a non-invasive, drug-free method of controlling pain. It uses small electrical impulses sent through the skin to stimulate the nerves in an affected area of the body to modify your pain perception. It is important to note that TENS is not a cure for any physiological ailment, but rather just a means of controlling pain. TENS will not necessarily work for every user's particular set of needs, and exact results will always vary for each individual, but for most users, it is very effective in reducing, or eliminating pain altogether, allowing for a return to normal, every day activity.
A TENS unit, such as the InTENSity 10, is often recommended to be used for the relief of chronic intractable pain, acute post-traumatic pain, acute post-surgical pain, and arthritic pain, among other conditions.

Q:What's the difference between tens and ems? Isn't it the same? Which is the strongest, under $50?
Asked by:ktk - 9/29/2015
A:
TENS and EMS are two different forms of electrotherapy. TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) targets the nerves to block pain signals to the brain. It is essentially used for pain relief for a plethora of different conditions. EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) is a different form of therapy that targets the muscles to passively contract and relax. It is meant for muscle rehabilitation and re-education. The InTENSity 10, here, is only a TENS unit, however we do also have combination devices available that allow the use of more than one form of electrotherapy.

Q:With my current TENS I can use 4 pads at once. Does yours? Also, what I am seeing in your ad is that this runs on electrical power instead of batteries. Yes? No?

Q:In all the pre set modes, is 13 the highest intensity level you can go to? Or is each mode higher than 14 level? By the way I love my intensity10. 110%+ better than tens 3000!
Asked by:brandon - 6/8/2016
A:
The InTENSity 10 can go up to 105mA. If yours keeps re-setting after going up to around 13mA or so, then this is part of a security feature indicating that the electrodes are not meeting a complete current so the unit is dropping the output back down to prevent the user from getting shocked. Make sure the electrodes are placed about 2-3 inches apart, and this should solve the problem. If there are additional issues, kindly give us a call during our regular business hours and we will be happy to assist further.

Q:Is the unit cordless? Shipping time to Florida, and how long will pads last?
Asked by:David Mandell - 8/22/2015
A:
With the exception of the lead wires necessary to connect to the electrodes, and optional AC power adapter, then yes, the unit is cordless. Shipping time and cost varies by courier service, geographical distance, and weight of the package. USPS and UPS commit to delivery within 1-5 business days for standard shipping. As for our electrodes, with proper care, one pack can typically be re-used about 10-15 times before the adhesive gel begins to dry up and lose its effectiveness, depending on user skin type and length of treatment. At that point, you can just discard those pads and begin treatment using a new pack.

Q:In ref to InTENSity 10...
- Your picture shows an AC charger and the info does not tell anything about rechargeable battery.
- If AC unit is used for "something" what is the info that it carries? Voltage (110-240 V), Amperes, etc
- Does it split into 2 electrodes the pair of lead wire? Meaning..I can have one with 2 pads in one leg and the other one in the other leg?
- So others Tens talk about Modes: How this one compare to what they call EMS and TENS ?
- Are the PADS reusable?
Many thanks in advance for your response.
